A lot of older homes have solid walls. Without a cavity to fill they lose heat fast and rooms can feel cold even with the heating on. External wall insulation fixes that from the outside.
We fix insulation boards to your outside walls, add a reinforcing mesh and finish in render. Your home holds its heat better and gets a new look at the same time. All the work happens outside so you keep every inch of space indoors and there’s no redecorating afterwards.

Rendering questions
What time of year should you render a house?
Render needs temperatures that are consistently around 5°C or above and rising. That lets it cure properly and bond to the wall. It can’t go on in frost or heavy rain, so spring to autumn is easiest. We can work in winter when the weather allows, but dates can move.
How much does it cost to render a house?
It depends on the size of the house, the render you choose, the state of the walls and access. Old render or pebbledash that needs taking off adds to the job. We price every job after a free survey.
What are the disadvantages of rendering?
It costs more than leaving brick as it is, and some finishes need painting every few years. The bigger risk is the wrong render on the wrong wall. It can crack or trap damp. That’s why we check your walls first and recommend a system that suits them.
Does render devalue a house?
A good render on a well prepared wall makes most houses look newer and better kept. Patchy, cracked or poorly matched render does the opposite. If you’re thinking of selling, a tidy finish in a colour that suits the street is the safe choice.
